Y-CARE Awareness Campaign Supporting Youth Workers Across Europe

The Y-CARE project is continuing its international awareness campaign aimed at strengthening the role of youth workers in promoting mental health, resilience, and well-being among young people across Europe.

The campaign focuses on raising awareness about the goals of Y-CARE, its ESG-oriented approach, innovative educational resources, and upcoming project activities. Through a series of engaging online actions and community-building initiatives, the project encourages youth workers to actively participate in activities such as the Empathy Lab, workshops, and multiplier events.

Youth workers play a crucial role in supporting young people’s emotional resilience and mental well-being. Y-CARE responds to these challenges by providing practical tools, peer-learning opportunities, and international cooperation that foster professional growth and inspiration.

As part of the campaign, project partners are creating testimonials, interviews, and short reels featuring youth workers from different countries. In these materials, participants share their experiences working with young people, discuss everyday challenges in youth work, and provide their opinions on the educational materials and resources developed within the Y-CARE project.

One of the testimonials comes from Poland. Katarzyna, a high school teacher, shares her personal perspective on well-being in youth work:

“Working as a youth worker has taught me that caring for others starts with caring for myself. Youth work can be emotionally demanding, so I make time for reflection, regular breaks, and honest conversations with colleagues to maintain balance.

I have experienced periods of stress and early signs of burnout, but peer support, supervision, and reconnecting with the purpose of my work helped me regain motivation. Sharing experiences with other youth workers reminds me that I am not alone and that learning never stops in this profession.

Youth work has helped me grow in patience, empathy, and resilience, and it continues to challenge me to develop new skills. My message to new youth workers is simple: take care of your well-being, stay curious, ask for support, and remember that even small positive actions can make a lasting difference in a young person’s life.”

The campaign also aims to build a strong European community of practice where youth workers can exchange ideas, inspire one another, and develop new competences together.

New campaign materials are published regularly on Y-CARE’s social media channels: Facebook and Instagram. Follow the project to stay updated on the latest activities, stories, and opportunities for youth workers across Europe.
