The Y-CARE Project continues its mission of supporting youth workers across Europe not only through mental health and resilience activities, but also by promoting awareness of sustainability and responsible organisational practices.
ESG is a framework that helps organisations evaluate their impact on the environment, society, and ethical governance. Today, ESG principles are becoming increasingly important across Europe, influencing how organisations operate, make decisions, and contribute to sustainable development.
Within the campaign, the partners explored the three main pillars of ESG:
- Environmental aspects, including climate change policies, energy efficiency, waste management, biodiversity protection, and reducing environmental impact.
- Social responsibility, focusing on employee well-being, diversity, inclusion, human rights, community engagement, and ethical relationships with stakeholders.
- Governance practices related to transparency, accountability, ethical management, compliance with regulations, and responsible decision-making.
The campaign also highlighted why ESG matters in today’s society and organisations. Strong ESG practices help build trust, improve transparency, support innovation, attract investment, strengthen governance structures, and contribute to long-term sustainability goals. Moreover, socially responsible organisations often create healthier and more supportive environments for employees and communities alike.
By incorporating ESG topics into the Y-CARE initiative, the project reinforces the importance of creating resilient, ethical, and sustainable youth work ecosystems across Europe. Promoting awareness of sustainability and responsible governance is closely connected with improving well-being, fostering inclusive communities, and empowering youth workers to become agents of positive change.
