As part of the Y-CARE – Youth-Centered Approaches for Resilience and Empowerment project, partner organisations will soon launch a series of panel discussions dedicated to mental wellbeing in youth work.
The panel discussions are one of the key dissemination and awareness-raising activities of the project. They aim to create a space for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and exchange of experiences related to mental health, resilience, and wellbeing among young people and those who work with them.
The main objectives of the panel discussions are to:
- increase awareness of mental wellbeing among youth workers and young people,
- prevent burnout and reduce stigma surrounding mental health challenges,
- promote good practices in resilience-building, work–life balance, and emotional wellbeing,
- strengthen cooperation between NGOs, public institutions, mental health professionals, educators, and policymakers,
- disseminate the results of the Y-CARE project, including the concept of peer support networks.
The discussions will bring together a diverse range of stakeholders, including youth workers, representatives of youth organisations, NGOs and civil society organisations, mental health experts, trainers, educators, local and regional authorities, and other professionals engaged in youth development and social inclusion.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore key topics such as mental health challenges faced by youth workers, burnout prevention, resilience-building strategies, access to mental health support services, the role of peer support networks, and the use of digital tools for promoting wellbeing.
The events will be organised by Y-CARE partners in different European countries, creating opportunities for local and international exchange of perspectives and experiences. Each panel will feature expert speakers and interactive discussions, encouraging active participation and engagement from attendees.
Through these events, Y-CARE aims to contribute to a stronger culture of mental wellbeing in youth work and to foster sustainable networks of support and cooperation across Europe.
Stay tuned for upcoming announcements regarding dates, locations, and registration details for the panel discussions.
