Focus Groups and Round Table Discussions Conducted by the City of Łomża

On June 30th, 2025, the City of Łomża organized a series of focus groups and a round table discussion aimed at gathering insights from key local stakeholders on youth development, vocational education, and mental health support.

The day featured two focus group sessions and one round table, each involving 10 participants. The events were held in Łomża and brought together a diverse mix of stakeholders, including youth workers, vocational education and training (VET) teachers, and mental health professionals.

Focus Groups Insights

The two focus groups explored the challenges and opportunities related to youth engagement, skills development, and emotional well-being. Participants emphasized the need for more integrated support systems connecting schools, mental health services, and community organizations. They also highlighted the importance of adapting VET programs to current labor market needs and improving access to psychological support for young people.

Round Table Outcomes

The round table provided a platform for open dialogue between professionals working with youth. Key conclusions included the necessity of cross-sector collaboration, more training opportunities for educators and youth workers, and increased public awareness about youth mental health. Stakeholders agreed on the value of continuing these discussions and working towards a more coordinated local strategy.

These sessions marked an important step in shaping policies and initiatives better aligned with the needs of young people in Łomża.
