Rome, Italy – 23 May 2025 – The Y-CARE project, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at enhancing mental wellbeing among youth across Europe, officially launched with a dynamic two-day kick-off meeting in Rome from 22–23 May. The meeting, hosted by Quality Culture, gathered project partners from five European organizations to coordinate and align on key activities and deliverables.
The event opened on 22 May with a warm welcome and an overview of the project’s objectives. Hosted at a central location in Rome, featured detailed presentations and workshops from the work package leaders.
UML led the project management and coordination, addressing the administrative framework and establishing effective collaboration strategies among the partners. ISUM and BildungsLab, introduced the research framework on mental wellbeing. BildungsLab also conducted an interactive storytelling workshop to explore the use of narrative in youth-focused initiatives. IASIS and QC outlined plans to develop a comprehensive digital training toolkit designed to enhance the skills of youth workers through an e-learning platform. IDEA detailed the project’s approach to dissemination and communication, emphasizing outreach efforts and strategies to engage key stakeholders.
On 23 May, the team reconvened at Cofoundry CoWorking near Piazza Barberini for a practical workshop on mental health led by QC, followed by strategic discussions to consolidate insights and next steps.
This collaborative kick-off marks the beginning of an ambitious journey to empower youth and strengthen support systems through education, technology, and European cooperation.
